Xbox One to launch in 26 additional markets this September
The Xbox One will finally launch across the globe this September, as the system makes it to 26 additional markets.
“Now it’s time to ensure even more fans around the world can enjoy Xbox One,” says Yusuf Mehdi, corporate vice president of marketing, strategy and business, Xbox. “So today we’re proud to share that it will be available in 26 additional markets in September this year.”
Further details will be shared towards the end of April for each specific area. No pricing, bundles or dates have been announced just yet.
Additional markets include:
- Czech Republic
- Saudi Arabia
- South Africa
Xbox One launched in 13 markets on 22 November 2013. September will no doubt feel like a long wait for those in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Sweden and Switzerland who had long thought the system would arrive in their regions in time for launch. The Xbox One was delayed a month before launch, due to concerns over Kinect voice recognition and global stock.
