Want The New Project Zero? You’d Better Buy It Quick!
If there’s one horror series that doesn’t get enough love, it’s Project Zero (or Fatal Frame, for our cousins in North America).
Koei Tecmo’s snap-happy spook-’em-up has consistently been one of the most legitimately terrifying series out there, but never achieved the same level of recognition as the likes of Resident Evil and Silent Hill, and the fourth game didn’t officially leave Japan.
That’s why we were so happy that Nintendo announced a worldwide release for the Wii U exclusive Project Zero: Maiden Of Black Water a few months ago – but now it looks like if you want it, you’re going to have to track it down quickly. According to a press release from Nintendo, “At retail, the game will only be released as the Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water – Limited Edition bundle, featuring a copy of the game in its standalone packaging, a double-sided poster, an art book, four Spirit Photographs, and a SteelBook™ cover.”
Given that Nintendo can be pretty conservative when manufacturing items, it might be worth tracking down the game on or near to its October 30th release date. However, if you’re still undecided by the time Halloween season rolls around, a demo will also be available on October 30th, allowing players a look at the prologue and initial two chapters. Here’s a trailer to tide you over until then:
