Two Of Our Favourite Developers Have Lost Their Minds
Tekken and Street Fighter devs battle it out, albeit unconventionally
Tekken visionary Katsuhiro Harada and Street Fighter head-honcho Yoshinori Ono have always had a friendly rivalry, but in the recent 20th Anniversary celebration of Tekken, they took it up another notch.
No, they didn’t have a proper fight or anything, but the iconic developers did dress up as their respective series’ mascots and engage in a series of weird minigames to determine who ‘won’ the rivalry, once and for all. It’s like WarioWare in real life.
One ’bout’ saw the duo racing to unfurl a roll of toilet paper, while another saw them attempting to balance on a ball. The pair clearly get excited when they start reliving their series history with helium-affected voices, and there were even jibes thrown – Harada noted ‘[Ono’s] always like that’ after the Capcom captain hurt himself, and began complaining, when he tried to break a baseball bat in half.
It’s a long video, but if you’re in the mood to see two grown men all but lose their minds, it’s definitely worth a sit-down with.
