Twitch broadcasting now live on Xbox One
The Twitch app on Xbox One has been updated, meaning users can finally begin live broadcasting directly from the console.
This has been a long time coming, with the update also letting users initiate broadcasts with voice commands and archive game clips.
Up to this point, Xbox One users could previously only use the app to watch streams via other devices, with all gameplay recording handled by the Xbox One’s limited Upload app.
X-ONE recently spoke with Twitch’s VP of marketing Matthew DiPietro and Xbox’s Engineering Manager Jeff Henshaw in an exclusive interview. There, the duo talk about the Xbox One exclusive Twitch features, the service’s massive growth and how the Xbox One outputs broadcasts at a higher resolution than the PlayStation 4.
