Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition PS4 Sales Double Xbox One’s
Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition – Square Enix’s next-gen version of the Tomb Raider game originally released on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC in 2013 – has sold roughly twice as many copies on PS4 as it has on Xbox One.
No doubt this is largely related to the fact that the PS4 has seen stronger sales in the UK than the Xbox One.
That Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition sold more copies on the PS4 than the Xbox One is unsurprising in light of news that PS4 games are outselling Xbox One games 3:1.
Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition’s weaker sales on Xbox One could also be related to news regarding Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition’s lower resolution in some sections of the Xbox One version and revelations regarding the Xbox One’s lower frame rate.
With the Xbox One starting from a smaller install base, though, it would seem likely that Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition would have seen higher sales on the PS4, regardless of any issues with resolutions or frame rates.
