Titanfall “best selling title on Xbox One”, says EA
Microsoft made a big gamble pinning the all important spring release window on Titanfall, a new IP from an untested studio, but it looks to have paid off massively for the Xbox One.
In an interview with Game Informer, EA’s chief operating officer Peter Moore has claimed that Titanfall is a smash hit on Microsoft’s next-gen system.
“Sales are always going to be inhibited and governed by the install base, but [Titanfall] is attaching incredibly well,” says Moore, and while he is still unwilling to release actual sales figures, did go on to say, “Titanfall is the best selling title on Xbox One lifetime to date.”
Titanfall has been on sale for three months following its launch in March, and spawned a special Xbox One bundle to coincide with the title’s launch.
Titanfall has already received one DLC pack, though more are on the way.
