The Mystery Of Destiny’s Raisins Has Been Solved, But What’s The Celery For?
If you’re not a regular Destiny player or follower of events you may have missed last year’s Festival Of The Lost, an event designed around Halloween in the game. There were lots of interesting things going on and it’s happening again this year too, but the strangest element of it was one particular item players could get; a box of raisins.
A year later it has all come to a head as the Tiny Box Of Raisins has transformed into something new, rewarding players who kept a hold of a box. As players on Reddit have discovered in the last 12 months, the box could be traded for all manner of items, but having one now sees them transform into Ascendant Raisins, allowing you to skip an early part of a new quest for this year’s Festival.
As Polygon goes on to summarise, the end result of this mystery (which also spawned a player group calling itself the Tiny Box of Raisins Clan) is that you earn the Superblack shader, which looks pretty cool and has been waiting to be unlocked for some time. Not the biggest reward for player patience, but a nice one all the same.
The new mystery item this year is celery… what on earth might that lead to in 12 months time?
