Tekken 3D Prime Edition ‘Is 3DS Benchmark’
Tekken director Katsuhiro Harada says that Tekken 3D Prime Edition will be a benchmark 3DS game because it’ll stick to 60fps even with the 3D slider set to maximum.
“As you probably know, a lot of 3D games, when you turn on 3D, because you have to display left and right sides, the frame-rate drops,” said Harada during a chat with NowGamer at Gamescom.
“In Tekken, we’ll keep 60 frames per second, even if you turn 3D on. So that makes it unique among a lot of other games. We feel it’s a benchmark because not many games can do this.”
Tekken 3D Prime Edition will also include a copy of feature-length CG movie Tekken: Blood Vengeance – in 3D – on the cartridge, Namco has confirmed, making it the first full-length movie for 3DS.
A 3-in-1 Tekken package including Blood Vengeance Tekken Tag Tournament HD and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Prologue was also announced exclusively for PS3.
