Street Fighter 5 is “in early planning stages”, confirms Capcom
Street Fighter’s executive producer Yoshinori Ono has confirmed that Street Fighter V is in early “in early planning stages”, over Twitter today.
“The SFV news today about a pay to win model is not accurate and isn’t something we’re planning for,” says Ono on Twitter. “Sorry for the confusion! We’re still in early planning stages and will
share more at a later date.”
It was understood that the system was being considered by Capcom to give new players a better chance against those already familiar with the controls and systems.
The report also goes on to say that Capcom is looking into spectator modes for high-profile battles.
Street Fighter 5 is expected to release on Xbox One and other next-gen formats – though it won’t be for a few years, sadly.
