Skyrim PS3: Dragonborn Will Release Before Dawnguard & Hearthfire
When the Skyrim: Dragonborn DLC was announced to be coming to PS3 and PC, we foolishly assumed that meant Bethesda had overcome its issues on porting previous content – more specifically Dawnguard and Hearthfire.
We were wrong, it seems.
Bethesda has revealed on its blog that Dragonborn will release ahead of Dawnguard and Hearthfire on PS3 since it felt that was the most important content to release first.
“On PS3 in particular, we turned our attention to Dragonborn, as we thought it was the best content to release first, and we didn’t want folks to wait longer.”
There’s no specific release date for Skyrim: Dragonborn DLC on PS3 or PC just yet, but whenever it’s finished Dawnguard and Hearthfire will take predecence once more.
“Once it’s ready to go for everyone, we’ll continue our previous work on Hearthfire and Dawnguard for PS3. Each one takes a lot of time and attention to work well in all circumstances and all combinations of DLC.”
The Bethesda blog adds, “Once we have a better idea of release timing and pricing, we’ll let you know.”
Is this good news for you, or would you rather Bethesda brought the original two pieces of Skyrim DLC to PS3 first?
