Ridley Scott to produce new Halo ‘digital feature’
Following the rumors earlier this year, Xbox Entertainment Studios has revealed a new Halo project from 343 Industries and Alien director Ridley Scott.
Not unlike Machinima’s Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, the live-action feature is set to take place in the 26th century and – reportedly – won’t have Master Chief in the lead role. Instead, it will feature another Spartan soldier though an unknown conflict.
Ridley Scott and Scott Free TV president David Zucker will executive produce the project, while Battlestar Galactica’s Sergio Mimica-Gezzan will direct and Prison Break creator Paul Scheuring is said to writing the script.
The new project is separate to the previously announced Steven Spielberg-TV series announced at the Xbox One reveal event last year.
The ‘digital feature’ will be released in 2014, we expect to hear more at E3 2014.
