PSP2 Due For E3 Reveal?
Last week, MCV weighed up evidence to suggest that Sony is getting ready to officially announce its latest iteration of the PSP. increased marketing spend at Sony points to a formal launch of some kind. With no notable IP coming out in the summer and LittleBigPlanet 2 still a while off, it’s anyone’s guess what the company is planning.
However, VG247 has today disclosed information from a ‘source familiar with the matter’, regarding the supposed reveal. Allegedly PSP2 NDAs have been sent to many British developers and publishers regarding the console, which is alleged to have two cameras, touch screen functionality, and is now slotted in for a 2011 release.
The list of evidence also states that the console runs on a four-core processor, ‘could’ be come with 3G connectivity and that it s unlikely to support ‘physical media’.
While it sounds like a tasty piece of kit, we reserve judgement until we hear some solid evidence.
We also reported on a supposed PSP2 leak from earlier in the year, suggesting the console would have 3D capabilities.
