PS4: Winter Sports Game Snow Could Come To PS4
Snow is a free-to-play winter sports game that throws players onto an open world ski resort to enjoy at your own leisure, currently in development for PC.
Snow is a more realistic approach to skiing – and, later, snowboarding – built on the physics-based engine CryEngine, sort of like EA’s Skate but for skiing.
Poppermost Productions is at Gamescom this year demoing the game after being in development for two years, but speaking with NowGamer it has been revealed that Snow could come to next-gen consoles.
Poppermost’s CEO Alexander Bergendahl confirmed that the developer is looking into bring Snow over to consoles, suggesting that Sony’s PS4 will be best suited to the game.
“We think that Snow could do well on PS4,” said Bergendahl, “due to the sharing and community features, the technology and everything they’ve set up with their dedication to indie. That’s really attractive to us.”
Snow is currently due to be released as part of Steam’s Early Access service in the next few months, claims Bergendahl, so if it did come to PS4 it wouldn’t be for a while yet.
We’ll be sure to jump into Snow when it launches on Steam soon and let you know what it’s all about.
