PS4: Deep Down’s Microtransactions Revealed
Whether you appreciate the free-to-play business model or not, it’s hard to deny that it’s a popular means of funding a game.
Deep Down, the PS4 exclusive from Capcom, is a free-to-play AAA RPG coming to Sony’s next-gen console early next year. While gamers are excited, there’s a necessary level of scepticism surrounding Capcom’s approach.
It has been revealed that Deep Down will feature a modern two-floor New York apartment in 2094, which will act as a hub of sorts before heading out into the more fantasy-styled RPG gameplay.
Here is where Capcom will focus its microtransactions, and the company has recently released a video showing some of the customisation options available in your apartment.
The first video is the latest, depicting what happens when an item is purchased for your apartment in Deep Down.
The second is an older video, but for clarification we’ve added it in anyway, with some of the items you can buy appearing at the end of the video clip.
