PS Vita Is ‘Niche’, Has Little Future Despite Price-Cut – Pachter
PS Vita doesn’t have ‘much of a future’ according to analyst Michael Pachter, who has dismissed the importance of the handheld’s sales quadrupling in Japan.
This week sales charts from the land of the rising sun suggested PS Vita has seen four times the sales since its $50 price cut, putting its sales at about 62,000 – higher than every console except 3DS.
Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter told NowGamer: “I don’t think Vita has much of a future, think the handheld market is shrinking, and the Vita audience is a niche audience.
“At lower prices, one would expect sales to grow.”
