Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty coming to Xbox One after all
It looks like Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty will release on Xbox One after all, developer Oddworld Inhabitants has revealed.
The studio had reservations releasing Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty, a next-gen remake of the original Oddworld game, because of Microsoft’s infamous release-day parity clause.
The news was revealed in an interview with Eurogamer, in which series creator Lorne Lanning told Eurogamer:
“As soon as we get our obligations on the PS platforms out, our intention is to get rolling on the Xbox platform and really treat it with the same level of care,” Lanning said. “We don’t have a release date, but we know it’ll be before the end of the year.”
The title is due to release on Sony platforms July 23, so expect Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty to appear through ID@Xbox later this year. Gotta love Chris Charla, he’s certainly getting stuff sorted out on the indie front.
