New maps, weapons and game mode comes to Halo 5: Guardians beta
The Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta has just moved into its second week of activity, and 343 Industries has introduced a new game type, two new maps and a brand-new weapon.
The new game mode is called Breakout, a round-based Team Slayer variation that strips away respawns and regenerating shields as 343 Industries once again demonstrates its commitment to competitive arena combat. Breakout is available on two maps, Crossfire and Trench, and victory is found as teams must win five quick fire rounds.
Two new maps have been introduced into the Slayer playlist, Truth and Empire – which are radical variations of the Regret and Eden maps available in the first week of the beta.
There is also a new power weapon to be found, the Hydra MLRS, which is “brand-new to the Halo universe” and acts as a small rapid-fire missile launcher.
Expect more on the Halo 5: Guardians beta in the coming weeks.
