New 1TB Xbox One announced with new controller for £349
Microsoft have permanently cut the price of the 500GB Xbox One console to £299/$349, and announced a new 1TB console, which includes a new controller, for £349/$399.
The new console is available now in the UK, while US customers will be waiting until 16 June to enjoy the glorious storage it offers. The console also offers an external USB 3.0 port for more expandability options. And, in certain regions, the new console will include a download code for Halo: The Master Chief Collection – so fingers crossed for that making it’s way to British shores.
The new controller offers a 3.5mm headphone jack on it’s lower edge, along with tweaked bumpers that will be better performance across their full length. There are also new controls within the Settings menu on the console to adjust headset volume, mic monitoring, and voice and game audio balance for headsets plugged into the new controller. Over the air updates to the controller will also be possible, removing the annoying ‘Connect your controller’ prompt when updating.
The new controller will also be available separately, in either matte black or a new silver and black camouflage design, called ‘Covert Forces’. The black model will be available ‘late summer’, while the camo design goes on sale on June 16th.
