Need For Speed: Underground 3 To Be Revealed 21 May
EA is preparing to reveal Need For Speed: Underground for Xbox One and PS4 on 21 May 2015.
That’s what the latest rumours seem to be pointing to at least. The new Need For Speed will be formerly announced this Thursday, the publisher revealed on its Facebook page, commenting that it will be the “first look at the return of NFS”.
The publisher also released a teaser for the reveal that, when enhanced, teases what many – including us here at X-ONE – believe to be a new instalment in the Need for Speed Underground series.
2014 was the first year without a new NFS game, that’s the first time that’s happened in over a decade, but the extended development window has hopefully given Sweden-based studio Ghost Games plenty of time to get a new engine up and running.
This year’s Need for Speed game is currently in development at Sweden-based studio Ghost Games. Back in January, publisher EA said the game was “already looking spectacular.”
“We are already deep in development on our next game and want to make this promise to you: we will listen to you,” Ghost Games GM Marcus Nilsson said back in May 2014. “We’re going to give you the game you’ve been asking for. It will be the game you deserve, but to do that will take us some time.”
Only a few days to wait, and we’re hoping to see the return of Need For Speed: Underground.
But EA please, for the love of god, no more Snoop Dogg and The Doors crossover tracks, yeah?
