Mortal Kombat X announced, confirmed to release in 2015
Mortal Kombat X has been announced by creative director Ed Boon today over Twitter.
Warner Bros. and developer NetherRealm hasn’t announced any further details, nor what platforms the title will launch on when it releases in 2015.
An earlier listing on Amazon pointed towards a release on Xbox One and Xbox 360 though.
A debut trailer has been released, hinting at what NetherRealm hopes to be an “unparalleled, cinematic presentation with dynamic gameplay”.
If the trailer is indicative of the final product, we could have a fighting game on our hands quite unlike anything else on the shelves. X-Ray attacks, Fatalities and environmental weapons have also been hinted at.
More details are expected to be revealed at E3 2014, which kicks off on the 9 June 2014.
