Modern Warfare 2 Gets 18 Cert In UK
A quick browse of the BBFC site shows that the 18 certificate is a first for the Call Of Duty franchise, which first emerged in 2003.
In the past, Modern Warfare 2 publisher Activision has stated its intention to make the title the biggest of all time – while an 18 cert in the UK shouldn't derail the game's launch too much, it could present a minor bump in the road as teenage fans attempt to get hold of a copy.
According to the BBFC the game contains 'strong bloody violence' and has been passed uncut. Thank goodness for that. The game hits shelves on 10 November, and you can read more about it in our latest Modern Warfare 2 preview.
