Leaked screenshots reveal Assassin’s Creed for Xbox One
Assassin’s Creed: Unity is thought to be the codename of Assassin’s Creed V for Xbox One – one of two Assassin’s games coming from Ubisoft in 2014 – leaked screenshots have revealed.
Kotaku has the scoop, citing “a number of sources” that Unity is in development for next-gen consoles, while a second game codenamed Comet is to be released on Xbox 360.
An anonymous source leaked a handful of screenshots of an early version of Unity, revealing 18th-century Paris as the location for the new adventure. Landmarks such as the Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Seine River can be seen.
The screenshots also seem to highlight new button prompts to “parkour” up and down, which could be “part of a new Assassin’s Creed navigation mechanic that will debut when Unity releases this fall,” says the soruce.
Launching two Assassin’s Creed games in the same year isn’t new for the franchise, Ubisoft released Assassin’s Creed 3 for Xbox 360 and Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation for PlayStation Vita back in 2012.
