Has Quantum Break Been Delayed To 2016?
Has Microsoft delayed Remedy’s Xbox One exclusive Quantum Break into 2016?
Take this with a spoonful of speculation, folks, because it’s time to jump on the rumour train.
“Got some bad news #Xbox gamers, #QuantumBreak is likely delayed, coming early 2016!” comments Dae Jim over Twitter, who is claiming to be the ‘Dutch Community & Social Media Coordinator’ at Microsoft. This was spotted by the ever-watchful eye of NeoGaf.
He also links to a website called Xbox Elite Team which – when using a delightful free translator X-ONE found on Google – goes on to suggest that the delay could be due to Microsoft attempting to clear some space in its already packed 2015 release window.
Remedy has, of course, been known to delay its games with a starting frequency -or, until they are finished – as any fans of Alan Wake will no doubt remember.
It’s worth noting that this is still a rumour and we are highly suspicious. Microsoft has been incredibly confident that this exclusive will launch in 2015 alongside Rise Of The Tomb Raider, Fable Legends Forza Motorsport 6 and Halo 5: Guardians.
Microsoft is yet to officially speak out on the status of Quantum Break, or respond to X-ONE’s request for comment, though head of marketing Aaron Greenberg has taken to Twitter to claim that he has “Never heard of the guy, was told he is not a Microsoft employee.”
It’s unlikely we will know any more until tomorrow, but what do you think? Will Quantum Break make its 2015 release window or do you think it will be pushed to 2016?
