Google Maps Pac-Man Just Became Your New Favourite Game
Remember that time in 2010, when everyone apparently stopped working because Google did a playable Pac-Man doodle? Well, the internet giant has only gone and done it again by integrating a playable version of Namco’s arcade classic into its Maps application.
In order to play, players need to seek out an area with sufficient road coverage in Google Maps, then click a Pac-Man button in the bottom-left of the screen. All the features of the original are included, even off-screen portals, but the multi-directional play is entirely new, and offers considerable challenges compared to the usual four-way mazes.
As fun as the game is, the best bit is trying to find great bits of map to turn into Pac-Man stages. We’re particularly pleased with this convoluted one we found in Washington DC, and if you like the look of it you can click here to play it now.
