EA Access: What Games Will Appear In The Vault?
EA has said that there is no set process by which it will decide what games are put in the Vault as part of the recently announced EA Access subscription service.
“New game additions will be determined by franchise and timing,” EA’s Peter Moore told CVG.
“We have to make decisions along that way, so there’s no template, like 30 days after a game ships it goes into the Vault.”
This means things are still very much up in the air when it comes to the kind of games we can expect to appear in the Vault, though we can surmise that we shouldn’t expect every EA title to make an appearance.
What we do now know, however, is that games that make their way into the Vault will be there permenantly, rather than being rotated.
“I think one of the key things is that once a game goes into the Vault it stays there,” said Moore, “it’s not going to be taken out, that’s a commitment we’ve made.”
Moore was asked about Sony’s comments, where it suggested that EA Access represents poor value.
“It’s tough for me to comment on Sony’s comments. I think they made themselves pretty clear.”
