Microsoft’s E3 2014 press conference – Halo 5, Sunset Overdrive and Crackdown 3
- Monday, 9th June: / 5.30pm BST / 9.30am PST /
The Xbox One has had a rough year, but Microsoft is looking to change all of that this year. The company has promised a game-heavy E3, so heavy in fact, that many announcements have already been made in the run up to the big day to save space. We’ve already had confirmation that Halo on Xbox One will be titled Halo 5: Guardians, a Forza Horizon 2 announcement and the confirmation that Quantum Break has slipped to 2015. We expect to see the first gameplay footage of Fable: Legends, an extended look at Sunset Overdrive, the unveiling of Microsoft’s rumoured Japanese IP (with talk pointing to Platinum Games taking on development duties) and perhaps the unveiling of Crackdown 3… We’d also like to see plenty of ID@Xbox games, the faster Microsoft gets those indie games to us the better.
EA’s E3 2014 press conference – Battlefield: Hardline, Star Wars: Battlefront and FIFA 15
- Monday, 9th June: / 8.00pm BST / 12.00pm PST /
EA has teased six big announcements at its press conference later this evening. Most have which have already been spoiled, but the biggest is Battlefield: Hardline. We also know about Dragon Age: Inquisition, NBA 15 and NHL 2015. It also looks like Mirror’s Edge 2, Star Wars: Battlefront will be making an appearance. Our guess for the six big announcements: Battlefield: Hardline, a new IP from Burnout developer Criterion Games, a reveal of Visceral’s new IP and its secret Star Wars game, reveal of FIFA 15 and… perhaps a little rumoured game called Mass Effect 4.
Ubisoft’s E3 2014 press conference – Assassin’s Creed: Unity, The Division and Far Cry 4.
- Monday 9th June: / 11.00pm BST / 3.00pm PST/
We’ve been eagerly anticipating it for weeks now, but the Ubisoft conference will finally reveal Assassin’s Creed: Unity and Far Cry 4 in all of their open world glory. The early rumours for Creed have it pegged as a four-player co-operative game, so it’ll be interesting to see how that pans out. Also expect to see an update on The Crew, as well as The Division following its slip into 2015. Ubisoft has set a precedent of blowing the doors off in the closing moments of its press conference, so who knows what the publisher might reveal – Rainbow Six: Patriots perhaps?
