Could Microsoft Reveal An All New RARE game at E3 2015?
Is it finally time for Rare to make a big comeback?
Microsoft’s marketing director Aaron Greenberg has revealed that Rare not only has multiple unannounced titles in development, but they are almost ready to be revealed to the public.
“We haven’t announced what Rare’s working on, but our team works closely with them and is going through the process of preparing to unveil their next things,” Greenberg told the Inner Circle Podcast. “But they have multiple projects in development and we feel really good about them.”
So, what could it be? Xbox head Phil Spencer teased that the studio was working on a “uniquely Rare game” late last year, commenting that he would “love to see them do something new that feels like a Rare game”.
With Kinect Sports Rivals, Kameo and Perfect Dark seemingly dead in the water, all attention is turning towards the highly rumoured return of Rare’s 1990s beat ’em up Battletoads. To be honest, we’d rather see Viva Piñata make a return, but each to their own.
With GDC a couple of weeks away and E3 2015 on the near horizon, what could Microsoft be planning to reveal?
