Black Ops Edited for Japanese Audiences
Those in Japan will not be playing the same version of Nazi Zombies as everyone else, come November 9.
Square Enix confirmed today that changes have been made to the Japanese localized version of Call of duty: Black Ops. All copies dubbed in Japanese will feature the Iron Cross in place of Swastikas when playing the Nazi zombie survival mode.
Square Enix has also announced that all scenes of dismemberment and “expressions of brutality” will be excluded in order to comply with the CERO ratings board. Cut scenes involving vicious interrogations and postmortem will also be excluded from the Japanese versions of the highly-anticipated shooter.
Despite the changes made to the dubbed version, the subtitled version of the game will still feature swastikas but will be changed otherwise.
