Battlefield 4: DICE Confirms Rubberbanding Quashed By Server Upgrades
DICE has confirmed that the reason rubberbanding issues have seemingly disappeared from Battlefield 4 is due to the fact that they have upgraded their servers.
A number of Battlefield 4 players had been reporting that rubberbanding was no longer a problem in the game, with some speculating that DICE must have upgraded their servers.
DICE confirmed this was the case, via Reddit, in response to a commenter pointing out that there was no mention of server upgrades in the latest patch.
“Well, server hardware upgrades are technically not part of a software changelog,” said Battlelog producer TheBikingViking.
“The server hardware upgrades would explain why the rubberbanding issues are reported as mostly gone,” they continued.
Some are suggesting that the problems aren’t completely gone, but when we put the question out on Twitter, asking whether rubberbanding had been fixed, we got a positive response from Battlefield 4 players.
Anecdotally at least, it seems that DICE’s server upgrades have had a notable impact on improving Battlefield 4’s multiplayer experience.
