Batman: Arkham Knight delayed until 2015, Warner Bros. confirms
Batman: Arkham Knight has been delayed until 2015, Warner Bros. has confirmed to X-ONE.
It looks like Arkham Knight’s October 14 release date was simply too ambitious for the next-gen Rocksteady game:
“Batman: Arkham Knight is the most ambitious title Rocksteady has ever created. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, DC Entertainment and Rocksteady have decided to extend the development of the game to ensure that the trilogy gets the epic conclusion that Batman fans want and deserve,” a Warner PR representative told us when asked for a comment.
Arkham Knight is yet another game that has been delayed until 2015, as developers strive to get the most out of next generation technology. It joins Quantum Break, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Halo 5: Guardians, Dying Light, Mad Max and The Division – to name but a few. On the plus side, Batman now misses the congested October release window, so it’s not all bad.
