Angry Birds Dev Finished With Chillingo
Chillingo has been acquired by EA for a rumoured $20 million, although the Angry Birds IP firmly remains the property of Rovio, ruling out further Chillingo-published ports of the game.
In an interview, Rovio head Peter Vesterbacka explained, "We will not use Chillingo again. You don't need publishers." The statement comes as Rovio sales of the Android and Nokia ports of Angry Birds sit at a whopping 6.5 million downloads.
Meanwhile Rovio has today launched Angry Birds Hallowe'en, the seasonal expansion to Angry Birds.
