It’s like you’ve been given a bunch of randomly hopping Lemmings to rescue, but rather than the multitude of skills that were at your disposal in the classic rodent-rescuing adventure, your only tool is a pencil that can draw an infinite number of solid blue lines around the screen that the bugs can use as ramps, bridges or paths.

The hand-drawn levels are extremely charming.

It’s a simple concept, but comes with bags of humour and visual appeal. Each level appears to be an original work of doodled artwork, scanned in and made into the gaming environment, and the cutely wittering little creatures give the landscape some real creepy-crawly life as they crawl and bounce around.

The effectiveness of their random nature can’t be overstated enough, as even your seemingly most watertight plans can be unfounded by a sudden change in behaviour of your insectal wards, as you managed to rescue 17 perfectly happily but then three, for reasons known only to them, will plunge right off the side of the pathway you made them and nestle right at the bottom of the play area.
