Of the two football quiz games reviewed this month, this effort from THQ is certainly the more polished in terms of presentation. Sky Sports Football Quiz does pretty much exactly what it says on the tin.

Basically, one to four players can partake in one of four different play modes, all of which involve answering a series of football-related question correctly in as fast a time as possible. Firstly you have the League Championship, where you can play your way through a full season. Penalty Shootout, meanwhile, is a quick-fire mode, Man of the Match sees you taking it in turns to attack and defend and finally, Dream Team allows you to build up your very own squad. So what more can you say? Well, not much really. As mentioned, this scores over Eidos’ effort with its prettier front end and commentary provided by Sky TV’s Kirsty Gallacher.

 However, it lacks the amount of questions included in Championship Manager Quiz. Still, with a bank of over 4,500 questions and a bargain price of just £19.99 this will make a nice stocking filler for know-itall fans of the beautiful game. It’s certainly more user-friendly than Championship Manager Quiz.
