Obsidian Lay-Offs: Studio Lost Bonus Due To Low Metacritic Score
Fallout: New Vegas developer Obsidian Entertainment has suffered 30 lay-offs this week, as well as being forced to cancel a next-gen project that was in conjunction with Microsoft.
When quizzed about the lay-offs on Twitter, Obsidian’s co-founder Chris Avellone explained in a tweet that the studio was promised a bonus only if Fallout: New Vegas hit a Metacritic score of 85.

Unfortunately for Obsidian, Fallout: New Vegas only totally a Metacritic score of 82 on PS3, and 84 on both PC and Xbox 360, meaning it only just missed out.
