Next-Gen Dynasty Warriors: Director Talks Changes
The director for Dynasty Warriors, Akihiro Suzuki, has told NowGamer about the changes he’d make for the series on PS4 and Xbox One.
“For Dynasty Warriors 8, we’ve pretty much used all the resources that we can of the PS3 to show as much as possible, so we’ve been able to use it to the fullest,” Suzuki told us.
“But if we wanted to take it to the next level on the visual aspect as well as being able to bring out many enemies onto the screen, that’s something that current gen consoles can’t do and something that hopefully next gen can do.”
We then asked what Suzuki wants to do with the Dynasty Warriors series on next-gen consoles.
“For the next gen consoles, one of the things we can’t do on current gen is regarding the number of enemies that show up on the screen,” he replied.
“I’d like to try and bring out more. With current gen, we’ve maxed it out. The second part would be enemy AI. We’ve done as much as we can with it and we’d like to be able to apply a little more specific AI to the various enemies but because of the technological limitations with current gen, we can’t go that specific, so hopefully next-gen we’ll be able to do something.”
Dynasty Warriors 8 is released in Europe on July 12.
