Develop conference: Home director Peter Edwards has delivered the first-term report on the PlayStation platform

Sharing feedback after 7 months in open beta, Edwards confirmed the previously reported figures, that of the 7 million people using Home, 3 million are in Europe. He also suggested that Home has had a successful first-term, with 6 million pieces of merchandise, both free and paid for, downloaded.

“The average user session clocks in at a substantial 56 minutes”

Additional figures that will no doubt prick up the ears of advertisers, include the average user session clocking in at a substantial 56 minutes, and a surprisingly low 30 per cent of users fitting the 18-35 male demographic.

In a Q&A session Edwards cited the differences between the US and European Home experience as a "localisation issue".
