Japanese Press Release Reschedules Fighter
A quick peruse of SNK Playmore’s Japanese website today revealed a day old post (in Japanese) which appears to announce a change of date for the developer’s forthcoming twelfth entry in the brawler franchise King of Fighters.
Citing both the PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms it would appear the press release is referring to the Japanese version of the game – which is currently doing the rounds in arcades. But the game is slated for a global release at the end of July, so someone, somewhere is going to have to wait before they can take control of the Bogard brothers et al.
“The game is slated for release everywhere at the end of July”
A slew of preview materials for the game were recently released, suggesting the originally announced release date is accurate – at least in the West.
We may have lost something in translation, so if your Japanese language skills are better than ours, follow the link to take a look at the original post and let us know. We've contacted the game’s US PR company, so as soon as we find out what’s going on, NowGamer readers will be the first to know.
UPDATE: Publisher Ignition Entertainment has contacted us to say that KOFXII is still set for August 28 in Europe, while a US release date is pending.
