UK: Current-Gen Consoles Top 24m

According to GfK Chart-Track data the UK's console install base has reached 24.2 million units as of 27 June 2009.
Nintendo sold 2.3 million Wiis in the last 12 months, with hardware leader DS shifting 2.7 million units during the same period. The DSi has also flown off shelves since launching in April, with 300,000 units sold in the UK.
Microsoft racked up sales of 1.7 million Xbox 360s in the last year, while Sony saw a less impressive uptake, with consumers buying 900,000 PlayStation 3s and 1.1 million PSPs.

The total console install base for the UK is now as below.
NDS – 9.1m
Wii – 5.4m
Xbox 360 – 3.9m
PSP – 3.3m
PlayStation 3 – 2.2m
DSi – 0.3m
