Guitar Hero criticised by real guitar heroes

Legendary Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page, and White Stripes frontman Jack White, have both dished out some harsh words on Activision's Guitar Hero franchise
During a press conference for thier upcoming documentary 'It Might Get Loud', both guitarists were asked what they thought of the growing popularity of the rhythm action genre.
"It's depressing to have a label come and tell you that ['Guitar Hero] is how kids are learning about music and experiencing music," said White.
“If you have to be in a videogame to get in front of them, that's a little sad”
He also said he didn't mind "which format people should get their music in," but that "if you have to be in a video game to get in front of them, that's a little sad."
Jimmy Page added that he doesn't think gamers learn anything from playing Guitar Hero.
"You think of the drum part that John Bonahm did on Led Zeppelin's first track on the first album Good Bad Times," he said. "How many drummers in the world can play that part, let alone on Christmas morning?"
While The White Stripes have had their music feature in Guitar Hero, Led Zeppelin's music has yet to appear in the franchise.
