PEGI redesigns age ratings logos

Christopher Reynolds 12:29, Wednesday 17 June 2009

Following its endorsement as the UK's official age ratings body for videogames, PEGI has unveiled a brand new set of ratings logos

PEGI has ditched its understated black and white logos of yore, and has instead adopted a 'traffic lights' green, yellow, and red system.

Ages 3 and 7 will be a nice shade of green, 12 and 16 will be amber yellow, while 18 is red hot.

The only other difference is that the background text of the logos now reads PEGI, instead of ISFE - the organisation that runs PEGI.

The redesign comes on the advice of the Byron Report released last year.

Check out the newly designed age ratings logos here, and get used to them, as they'll be appearing on all new UK games releases.
