E3: Uncharted 2 first impressions

Jerry Bruckheimer would be proud
With gameplay presentations of God Of War III showing exactly what PS3 is capable of, it came as something of a surprise that Uncharted 2 would look so gorgeous. Nathan Drake’s latest adventure always promised to be something special, but the gameplay on show here has left no doubt in anyone’s mind how extraordinary this will be. It might just steal the show.
“Drake ducked and weaved through a building, under constant fire from a circling helicopter”
With its relentless action, there was a real physical connection to the scenery around the characters. Drake ducked and weaved through a building, under constant fire from a circling helicopter. The amount of destruction and the set pieces looked expertly crafted and as a high-octane, action-filled few minutes, it put many of the games at the show to shame. Sony couldn’t have asked for a more impressive display from Naughty Dog.
