E3: Square Announces Front Mission Evolved

Square Enix reveals its brand new shooter for 360 and PS3, based on the Front Mission series

Front Mission Evolved takes the tactical Mech RPG foundations of the original game, and transports it into a fully 3D action template.

"[Front Mission Evolved] is an action-packed third-person shooter that gives players full control of a massive humanoid war machine — the wanzer," reads the press release.

“Players will battle through intense combat situations”

"Players will battle through intense combat situations as they explore an immersive world in both the single-player campaign and online multiplayer."

Front Mission Evolved is being developed by US-based studio Double Helix, which was also responsible for Silent Hill Homecoming.

NowGamer has an exclusive interview with Square Enix during E3 (actually we have about three, for some reason), so check back over the next few days for the full scoop.
