Today is May 18, the date displayed on Hideo Kojima's teaser advert last week in Famitsu, so where's our new game?

Well it turns out the "May 18" isn''t when Kojima's new game would be revealed, but when a new countdown timer and picture for the new game would be displayed on an official teaser website. Joy.

The site displays another cloudy skyline, similar to the print ad, but this time the clouds move, and there's lightening, and thunder. Every now and then the number 5 (or letter S) flashes briefly.

What's interesting is that some die-hard MGS fans on NeoGaf have looked at the source code of the webpage and found that it will run a series of countdown timers over the coming weeks, with the final timer appearing on June 1st - the same day as Microsoft's E3 press conference.

MGS4 on 360? It's looking possible...
