Naughty Dog founders Jason Rubin and Andrew Gavin have started-up a new games studio focused on causal and social titles

Monkey Gods will develop games for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, and iPhone according to the company's website.

The studio has announced two titles so far, both for iPhone and Facebook. One is version of puzzle game Snood and the other is MonkWerks, "a word game with a twist" according to the site

“Monkey gods is a new company from an old team”

"Monkey Gods is a new company from an old team," says Rubin, who has been absent from the games industry since 2004. "Andy Gavin and I have been working together for 25 years."

"So we have game experience, web experience, social networking experience, and a love of all of them. Monkey Gods was started so we could work on our passions. We think you will see that in the games,"
