Slither director slams Microsoft

Hollywood director James Gunn, of Slither and Dawn of the Dead fame, has attacked Microsoft over the handling of his Xbox Live-exclusive horror film Humanzee
"I'm not exaggerating or being facetious. Microsoft/Xbox was by far the most dreadful, non-talent friendly company I've ever worked for," fumed Gunn on his blog.
The director was approached by Microsoft to direct a short film for Xbox Live's Horror Comedy festival last year, which featured a selection of original short horror flicks from film makers who worked on Saw, 30 Days of Night, and The Amityville Horror.
“They made me cut a piece a piece of very fake poop and a bunch of other stuff”
However Gunn said that his submission "Humanzee" was heavily censored by "small minded" executives at Microsoft.
"Shortly after I signed on to produce the Horror Goes Comedy series, as well as write and direct my own, Xbox became pain in the asses about content," wrote Gunn. "We were told that anything goes. So I shot the most balls-out, f*cked up thing I've ever shot: Humanzee!...Xbox saw it and freaked out."
Sparky & Mikaela, Gunn's second attempt at making a film for Xbox Live, didn't fare much better, with Microsoft making numerous cuts despite the film adhering to PG-13 standards.
"Obviously they had no f*cking idea what PG-13 was, as they wanted me to cut the words "penis" and "vagina,"" wrote Gunn. "They made me cut a piece of very fake poop and a bunch of other stuff."
Gunn says the uncut version of Sparky & Mikaela will be made available to view soon on his website.
