Nintendo has announced that it will be announcing the price and date of its new handheld at the end of September
Nintendo has confirmed to Bloomberg Japan that it will be revealing the worldwide release date and pricing for its 3DS console on September 29 this year.
A comparatively short period between announcement and release, the news is likely to confirm that the console will be available worldwide during March of 2011 in order to sneak into this fiscal year as confirmed to Bloomberg.
“How much do you expect to pay for a 3DS?”
“Nintendo's new portable game machine that will be available during the quarter, "Nintendo 3DS" about the price and release date details on September 29 in Japan and expected to ship in fiscal year are planning to announce. Mr. Yasushi Hiroshi Minagawa 29 spokesman, said the phone told Bloomberg News.” Says Bloomberg.co.jp via the pick n’ mix success or failure of online translation.
We already have a rough idea of date then, but what about price. Having had a couple of hours of hands-on time with the console just this week, we have a sneaky feeling that something as awesome as the 3DS won’t come cheap, but we look forward to being pleasantly surprised.
