Perry Considering Earthworm Jim Sequel

Earthworm Jim developer Dave Perry has today revealed he would like to return to the classic series as soon as other projects have been completed.

In a NowGamer interview, Perry revealed he will be looking at getting back into game development once his on demand game streaming service Gaikai launches.

When asked if a new Earthworm Jim title would be a possibility, Perry explained, "Well it’s actually something that…just so you know, the team has remained good friends and I actually brought them together again and reformed the Earthworm Jim team to make a new game that was to be funded by Atari. We literally had meetings and started discussing what the game was going to be, but then Atari took a nosedive and the whole project got put on ice.

“I actually reformed the Earthworm Jim team to make a new game”

The developer continued, "It was a shame because we had managed to achieve the goal of getting those core people back together. What I’m saying is they were willing to do it then, I think they would still be willing to do it at some point in the future."

Sounds groovy. Perry is currently gearing up to launch cloud-gaming service Gaikai, which lets people play games like World of Warcraft on an iPad, or amazingly, Facebook.
