Brink Movement 'Like Assassin's Creed'

Splash Damage has discussed the SMART free-running system in it's upcoming hybrid shooter
SMART stands for Smooth Movement Across Random Terrain, and enables Brink players to leap, slide and clamber over the environment from a first-person perspective. Lead designer Richard Ham told games™: "A lot of people draw parallels to Mirror's Edge since Brink is an FPS, but our SMART system is really more closely related to what Ubisoft did in Assassin's Creed."
"There, they were trying to make the acrobatic gameplay of Prince Of Persia more accesible to a broader audience, and we're trying to do the same thing," Ham explained. "Since we're a shooter first and foremeost, we really want players to be focussing on the shooting, not the moving around."
“We want players to be focussing on the shooting, not the moving around”
Much like controlling Ezio or Altair, SMART enables players to scramble up walls and slide under tables while holding a single button - however, the system will be optional for those that want to retain control.
