More Races Headed To Star Trek Online
Tom Hopkins 11:21, Wednesday 3 February 2010

Cryptic producer Craig Zinkievich has confirmed that the studio is considering more post-launch alien races for the game
The MMO launched yesterday in North America, and officially reaches retail in Europe this Friday. Cryptic is already offering subscribers launch day content, with both Federation Klingons and the Ferengi available for 240 and 80 Cryptic points respectively.
“We want to have more playable factions”
The Klingons have got a section of the game to themselves, and Zinkievich told NowGamer thast more races could get the specialist treatment in future. "We want to continually add more content for both Federation and Klingon, but we also want to have more playable factions," the producer confirmed. "Which ones we do next will largely depend on what makes an interesting playable race and what the fans would really like to see."
