Xbox One will stream at a higher resolution than PS4 across Twitch,

With Xbox One's Twitch update due on March 11, Reddit users spotted Major Nelson testing Twitch with Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare. Using Twitch analyser on the stream, Reddit users were then able to see the quality and resolution of Xbox One's Twitch livestreaming service.

Xbox One streams at 1280x720, 30 fps, ~2.5 Mbps on Twitch in comparison to PS4, which streams at 960x540, 30 fps ~1.7 Mbps.

Other things to note ahead of the Twitch launch on Xbox One is that archiving is enabled, you can see chat and viewer stats without displaying them on stream and party chat audio won't be broadcast.

You can also move the picture-in-picture frame to any of the corners on the screen.

It all sounds good - fingers crossed then that this is what Microsoft delivers when Twitch broadcasting finally goes live.
